0255L- TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 7/22/25

Showers and maybe a rumble of thunder can be expected early this morning. These are occurring along an outflow boundary that made its way to us from storms in Kansas overnight. Not expecting anything severe. Most of the shower activity is dissipating now at 0250L. We can expect additional rain chances Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Today will BE HOT, DRY, AND WINDY so pace yourselves while working outdoors and hydrate properly.

I am leaving this paragraph in this week: As someone who has had heat related issues in my younger days, once that happens, you are susceptible of having some sort of heat issue if you don’t stay hydrated. Read more about heat related info here- https://www.weather.gov/safety/heat and here https://www.heat.gov/

Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Tuesday- Sunny. Highs in the upper 90s. South winds 15-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

Tuesday Night- Mostly clear. Lows in the mid-70s. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph, diminishing to around 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph after midnight.
