0300L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 8/29/25
It appears we will have a mostly rain free day but there are flood advisories out for the Salt Fork/Arkansas River north of Alva and for the Cimarron River near Waynoka. Why tell you this? Because it will cause issues closer to the area over time. Be careful while traveling and pay attention to low lying areas. We will remain cool for the most part so enjoy this end of August cool streak.
Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:
Friday- Patchy fog in the morning. Mostly cloudy. Highs in the mid-70s. East winds around 5 mph.
Friday Night- Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of showers after midnight. Lows in the mid-60s. Southeast winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
