0255L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 12/19/25
Winds will blow again today BUT they’ll be out of the SSW 15-25 with gusts upwards of 30 to 40 mph. Yesterday’s fire up on North 16th would have been a lot worse if it had jumped the road. We were placed into a RED FLAG WARNING due to low humidity and strong winds yesterday but conditions today shouldn’t be as bad. Response to that fire came from KREMLIN, ENID, HCFD, BRECKINRIDGE, HUNTER, GARBER, DRUMMOND, LAHOMA, AND FAIRMONT. Today’s fire threat is ELEVATED TO NEAR CRITICAL so stay alert and call 911 IMMEDIATELY if you see smoke or fire.
Weather-wise, another nice day except for the winds so get out there and enjoy!
Overall, we’ll be ok so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:
Friday- Sunny, breezy with highs in the upper 50s. South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
Friday Night- Mostly clear. Not as cool with lows in the lower 40s. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
