0310L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 7/25/25

FYI: The KVNX AND KFDR RADARS is still having intermittent Level 2 latency issues. Techs are aware and they will figure it out.

MARGINAL RISK for additional severe weather today.  If storms do occur, torrential rainfall, some hail, and strong winds will be the main threats. Similar to last night. Last night was interesting with 4 inches of rainfall in the Kremlin area along with 70+ mph winds, at least 1.5 inches here in Enid. Our winds weren’t quite that high but the lightning was very intense at times. There were many power outages and hopefully most folks power has been restored. Be ready again today as the storms in Southwest Oklahoma will affect us as they move north-northeast.

Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Friday- A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Humid with highs in the mid-90s. East winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming south in the afternoon. Chance of rain 40 percent.

Friday Night- Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Humid with lows in the mid-70s. South winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.
