0245L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 9/5/25
It has been a stormy night and once the heavier cores move out, we’ll still have a few showers to deal with. Overall, we’ll be ok though. We are in a GENERAL THUNDERSTORM RISK area but the higher severe threat will be in southern Oklahoma later today. Cooler temps will also be in the forecast so enjoy those over the weekend. We should warm back up around the first of the week to around 80 degrees or so. Enjoy the 70’s over the weekend.
I will be speaking with Alan Clepper on 103.1 KOFM from 6 to 8 am this morning. Listen in and you learn more about innovations over the last 31 years here and my retirement. Should be interesting.
Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:
Friday- Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cooler with highs around 70. Northeast winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
Friday Night- Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Lows in the lower 50s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph, becoming north around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of rain 20 percent
