0240L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 12/29/25
After a cold front brought colder temps, windy conditions, and a few fires, winter temps will be around for a few days and then we’ll warm up to the what is called normal winter temps for the latter part of the week. It could be worse with blowing snow and temps around zero. We all knew it would get colder so we deal with it and wait for spring. For the most part, we are still doing ok weather-wise so enjoy this while you can.
Just FYI, I will do a live broadcast this evening on Facebook stating my intentions for the future. Most of you all know that I will retire this Wednesday night at midnight. This will end my 30 plus years as your emergency manager so we’ll see what the future may hold. More details tonight.
Overall, we’ll be ok so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:
Monday- Sunny, cooler with highs in the upper 30s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
Monday Night- Mostly clear. Cold with lows around 17. Northwest winds around 5 mph, becoming west after midnight.
