0300L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 10/20/25

WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 0900 UNTIL 1300L. Wind gusts up to 45 are possible. Controlled burning today is NOT advised.

The fire danger in SW Oklahoma is elevated today. If traveling in that area use caution and keep an eye out for smoke and fire.

We have another cold front that will push in this afternoon shifting winds from the southwest to the northwest. We aren’t expecting any rainfall with this passage but winds could become a factor if fires are ongoing. Will advise on the fire situation as warranted.

Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your countywide forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Monday- Sunny, windy with highs in the lower 80s. Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph, becoming northwest in the afternoon. Gusts up to 50 mph are possible.

Monday Night- Clear. Lows in the mid-40s. North winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph, becoming northwest 5 to 10 mph after midnight.
