0405L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 8/23/25

Per Guidance this morning, there is a low probability of strong to marginally severe storms today due to an outflow boundary moving south from storms in northern Kansas. This could occur around early afternoon. This boundary won’t bring cold air, but it will be a little cooler. Either way, if storms do occur, it could be a little bumpy due to winds and hail.

Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Saturday- Mostly sunny. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 90s. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Saturday Night- Partly cloudy. Lows in the mid-60s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

GARFIELD COUNTY EM is our notification, warning, and preparedness app. If you don’t have it, you’re NOT prepared!

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
