SATURDAY WEATHER OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT – 02/07/2026

Good morning, Garfield County!

We’re starting off the day on a much more comfortable note compared to the recent stretch of cold weather. Temperatures this morning are cool but not terrible, and we’ll see steady warming through the day as southerly winds return and sunshine mixes with some passing clouds. It’s going to feel a lot more like early spring than early February by this afternoon. Today will be a good opportunity to get outside, check on property, and take care of any outdoor tasks that were put off during the cold snap. Just keep in mind that breezy conditions will develop at times as warmer air moves back into the area. Per the NWS/Norman we may see an upcoming pattern change that will bring rain and storm chances next week. With northwesterly flow transitioning to more of a southwesterly flow we may see a more active weather pattern. We will watch it closely as we head into next week.

Here is your forecast from the NWS/Norman:

TODAY – Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid-60s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming south 10 to 15 mph this afternoon.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 40s. South winds 5 to 10 mph.
