0323L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 7/12/25

MARGINAL THUNDERSTORM RISK with quarter size hail and 65 mph winds as the main threats. The tornado risk is very low. The cold front at 0316 local time is roughly along the OK/KS border. It is sagging south in some areas and will continue to do so as the morning wears on. Thunderstorms are expected to develop along the front this morning. Precipitable water values show 1.5 to 2 inches. Higher values look likely south of us. For the most part, just be prepared for thunderstorms with gusty winds and heavy rainfall.

Saturday- Partly sunny in the morning. A chance of thunderstorms. A chance of showers in the morning, then showers likely in the afternoon. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall. Humid with highs in the upper 80s. East winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Saturday Night- Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall. Humid with lows in the upper 60s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming south after midnight. Chance of rain 50 percent.
