0255L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 11/29/25
WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOW UNTIL 6PM THIS EVENING. Wind gusts upwards to 45 mph are possible.
A strong cold front will bring a downward trend in temps as the day progresses after it passes your location. The colder air is lagging behind the front so it will be cooler when the front moves by your area but it will gradually get colder as the day wears on. Winds behind the front will be just as strong as they are right now so the wind chill will drop as we move through the day too. This said, No major precip is expected with today’s frontal passage but there may be a minimal chance for light precip through 0900L. Otherwise, we’ll have a chance for precip in the form of light snow, Monday morning.
Overall, we’ll be ok so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:
Saturday- Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers in the morning, then sunny in the afternoon. Windy with highs in the lower 50s. Temperature falling into the lower 40s in the afternoon. West winds 20 to 30 mph, becoming northwest 25 to 30 mph in the afternoon. Gusts up to 45 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.
Saturday Night- Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Brisk and much colder with lows around 20. North winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph, diminishing to around 10 mph after midnight.
