WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM UNTIL 7 PM TODAY. NW winds 20-30 mph gusting 40 to 50 mph are possible after frontal passage.
ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER conditions expected from 11 am until 5 pm. With the above stated wind-speeds, fire spread will occur quickly and smoke will most likely ride the ground so keep your eyes peeled and call 911 if you see smoke or fire. NO controlled burning is advised.
At 0230 this morning it’s 66 degrees with light southeasterly winds. It’s very nice outside. The cold front is located from roughly Hastings, Nebraska to Dodge City, Ks to Guymon, Ok. It should reach our area between 5 am to 7 am. Colder air will filter in behind this front and temps should drop to near 40 degrees by 1 pm with wind chill temps near 32 degrees.
Secure anything outdoors that could take flight!

Sunday- Mostly sunny and very windy. Much cooler with highs in the upper 50s. Temperature falling into the upper 30s in the afternoon. Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.
Sunday Night- Mostly clear and brisk. Much colder with lows in the lower 20s. Northwest winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph, diminishing to 10 to 15 mph after midnight.
