0315L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 7/27/25
HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1PM UNTIL 8PM THIS EVENING
There isn’t a lot to state as summer rolls forward other than it’s gonna be HOT!! Per forecast guidance, we’ll be this way through mid-week when we may get a break as this thermal ridge retrogrades to the west leaving us on the eastern periphery of this ridge. This would put our area under NW FLOW giving us a chance for overnight storms and maybe a cool front. Not going to hold my breath but until any cooler chances come along, stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay safe.
Use EXTREME CAUTION while working outdoors and hydrate properly.
Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:
Sunday- Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 100. Heat index values as high as 108. South wind 10 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.
Sunday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 76. South wind 9 to 13 mph.
