0250L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 9/28/25

TODAY will be another nice warm day with plenty of sunshine. Winds will be pretty much under control so nothing crazy. The forecast for this up and coming week is about the same with only a few variations so enjoy this warmer weather. We know it will change in a few weeks. This said, if you plan on traveling to the east coast, stay weather aware due to the hurricane activity off the coast of Florida. Any variance on the projected patch of these storms could bring some damaging weather to that state.

Something to think about, the eastern half of the county is abnormally dry right now so use caution if doing any controlled burning. Keep an eye out for ANY suspicious activity.

Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Sunday- Sunny. Highs in the upper 80s. South winds 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday Night- Partly cloudy. Lows around 60. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
