AFTERNOON WEATHER OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT – 4/7/2026
We’re looking at a nice afternoon across the area with plenty of sunshine and highs climbing up around 72°. It’s going to stay a bit breezy though, with south winds running 18 to 20 mph and gusts pushing up near 25 mph at times, so it’ll feel great, just don’t be surprised by the wind.
Heading into tonight, we’ll keep partly cloudy skies with temperatures dropping down to around 44°. Winds will stay out of the south at 10 to 15 mph with a few higher gusts still hanging around overnight.
Now looking ahead, enjoy today and tomorrow because rain chances are on the way later this week. Starting Thursday afternoon and especially into Friday through the weekend, we’ll see multiple chances for showers and thunderstorms. Some of those storms could be on the stronger side at times with hail and gusty winds possible, so it’s something we’ll be keeping an eye on.
Overall, quiet for now… but a more active spring pattern setting up as we head toward the weekend.
Have a great rest of your day!
