0245L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 12/16/25

WARM again today with highs in the upper 50s. The only issue will be that there is a chance for fog this morning and possibly freezing fog in areas where temps have dropped near and below freezing. We are at 32 right now at 0240L so if fog develops, watch out for a thin layer of frost/ice on bridges and overpasses. Other than that, we’re good for now.

Fire weather is still in play due to foliage being dead. As we warm up a little and the winds come up and humidity goes down, that threat will exist. If you see smoke or fire, call 911.

Overall, we’ll be ok so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Tuesday- Patchy fog in the morning. Partly sunny. Visibility one quarter mile or less at times in the morning. Highs in the upper 50s. South winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

Tuesday Night- Partly cloudy. Cold with lows in the upper 20s. Southwest winds around 5 mph, becoming northwest after midnight.
