0325L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 7/29/25

HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON UNTIL 8 PM THIS EVENING. EXTREME CAUTION IS ADVISED. Not too much else to state, other than we may see a cool down Friday and Saturday. We’ll just have to wait and see!

This paragraph is from yesterday– I can’t stress to you all enough to make sure you stay hydrated during this heat. It doesn’t take much to bring dehydration on, especially when you don’t pay attention to your intake of proper fluids. Pop and power drinks are the WRONG way to hydrate. Read up on this here. https://www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov/heatrisk/

Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Today- Sunny, hot with highs around 101. South winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows in the mid-70s. South winds 5 to 10 mph. Heat index values up to 105 early in the evening.
