0310L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 11/11/25
Tired of the cold already? Today’s high should be around 70. The only bad thing will be the winds. We could see gusts upwards of 25 to 30 mph. The fire danger is elevated today in the southwest quadrant of the state so if traveling that way, keep your eyes peeled for smoke and or fire. If you don’t travel anywhere today, do the same here too. Even though we aren’t in an official elevated condition, if a fire gets started, it will travel quickly. There should NOT be any controlled burning today due to the winds.
The strong winds should decouple later today or tonight. We might have a chance for storms this weekend but it’s too early to say for sure yet. We’ll have a better idea as we get closer and the models verify.
Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:
Veterans Day- Sunny. Not as cool with highs in the lower 70s. Southwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
Tuesday Night- Clear. Lows in the upper 30s. North winds around 5 mph.
