0240L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 9/23/25

At 0230 local time, we have some showers and thunderstorms in the area. These are not severe but will continue to make some noise over the next several hours or so. The heavier/severe weather that was forecast for us went north and east. For this morning, there may be some isolated thunderstorms with a risk of severe storms due to wind and hail.

There will be a risk for severe weather this afternoon and tonight east and southeast of the county. If traveling, keep up with the latest forecast from your destinations NWS FORECAST OFFICE.

Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Today- Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the mid-80s. Southeast winds around 10 mph, becoming northwest this afternoon. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Tonight- Partly cloudy in the evening, then becoming mostly cloudy. Lows in the lower 60s. North winds 10 to 15 mph.
