The ridge of high pressure continues to slowly creep our way and is centered over New Mexico at this time. It will allow our temps to increase especially Thursday and Friday. There isn’t any heat advisories expected for today but this could change depending on conditions. We’ll see what happens. Stay hydrated while working outdoors and don’t forget your pets too.

It will be windy today with some wind gusts upwards of 35 mph so use caution while driving.

Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Wednesday- Sunny. Highs in the upper 90s. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Heat index values up to 105 in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night- Mostly clear. Lows in the mid-70s. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
