0310L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 7/23/25
Hot, dry, and windy with a chance for thunderstorms later this evening and overnight. We are under southwest flow and with the high pressure ridge drifting a little bit east, opens the door for a disturbance to traverse western half of the area. If storms do occur, downburst winds appear to be the main threat besides torrential rainfall. Stay weather aware later today into the overnight hours. We’ll have a repeat of this possibly Thursday night too.
Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:
Wednesday- Sunny. Highs in the mid-90s. South winds 15-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
Wednesday Night- Partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the mid-70s. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph, diminishing to around 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph after midnight. Chance of rain 20 percent.
