0240L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 9/12/25
Warm and dry for the next several days with a low chance for showers possibly on Sunday and again around mid-week. Temps will average in the low to mid 90s so pace yourself while working outdoors. The new Drought Monitor is out and according to the graphic, the southeastern 1/3rd of the county is abnormally dry and is moving into a moderate drought. The northwestern 2/3rds of the county is not under any drought conditions. I have to admit, it’s mid-September and everything is still green. At least we’re not breathing smoke from wildland fires.
Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:
Friday- Sunny. Highs in the mid-90s. South winds 10 to 15 mph.
Friday Night- Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 60s. South winds 5 to 10 mph.
