0400L-FRIDAY UPDATE FROM ENID/GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-8/3/18

1- Hot with gusty winds is in the forecast for today and tomorrow. Chance for rain out west. If traveling west, check your forecast along your route and stay aware.

2- We are still split between a Moderate Drought and being abnormally dry. You wonder with all of the rain we have had, how can this be? The rain we have had hasn’t been equal across the area thus some areas are a lot dryer than others. That’s the simple answer.

3- We’ll see higher rain chances once again early next week as northwest flow brings another front into the area. Until then, enjoy the sunshine.

4- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Friday-Sunny, with a high near 95. South wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Friday Night-Increasing clouds, with a low around 73. South southeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as possibly 25 mph.
