0335L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-12/6/19
**IMPORTANT** If anyone plans on doing any burning whatsoever, please call dispatch and let them know. In Enid, you have to have a permit. In the rural areas, you need to call dispatch and let them know you want to burn. If conditions are NOT FAVORABLE, dispatch will let you know as I coordinate with them on this. Here is a link to all numbers you would need to call in your controlled burn- https://gcem.org/emergency-numbers/ by not calling in; a bunch of red trucks and 1 white one may show up!!
1- After temps in the mid 60’s yesterday, we’ll enjoy temps in the mid 40’s today along with some gusty north winds. I would at least wear a coat if you plan on being outside especially in the wind. Speaking of wind, they should lay down later today into the evening hours.
2- Keep your eyes and nose on HIGH ALERT for smoke and fire and call 911 if you see either. A quick response, especially today, will be a good thing if anything happens.
3- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Friday-Cooler. Highs in the upper 40s. North winds 10 to 20 mph. Gusts up to 35 mph in the morning.
Friday Night-Clear. Lows in the upper 20s. Light and variable winds.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
