0340L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-10/29/21

1- The winds blew and per the Mesonet, we had wind gusts YESTERDAY at the Lahoma site at 53 mph and 56 mph at the Breckinridge site. Highest at the office was 56 mph. That said, there may have been a few “higher gusts” around so if you have a weather station that records your info, take a picture of your history on the device, and send it to me. We do appreciate it.

2- For today, the winds will average 20-30 mph and be gusting upwards of 35 mph. The Fire Danger will remain, so again for today, NO BURNING AND PLEASE CALL 911 IN THE EVENT YOU SEE SMOKE OR FIRE. It’s appreciated.

3- Weather-wise, it will be sunny and temps will be similar to yesterdays. That said, here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Sunny. Highs in the mid-60s. North winds 15 to 25 mph with higher gusts.

Tonight-Clear. Patchy frost after midnight. Lows in the mid-30s. Northwest winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light and variable.

FINALLY: each day, I post on our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app under GCEM BLOG, our website at www.gcem.org  on the FRONT PAGE and on social media. I know its convenient for most to get our info daily on the social media platform. They have made many changes and hundreds of folks aren’t getting our info anymore. Just remember that IF you don’t get OUR INFO each day, go to our website or you can see it on our app.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
