0345L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-9/6/19

1- The oven is still on and the heat will continue through a good portion of next week. I know this is getting old but if we do have a cold winter, folks will complain about that too. We need to find that location where daytime temps are in the 70’s and nights are in the 50’s. When you find that place, let me know!!

2- The slogan for PREPAREDNESS MONTH is PREPARED, NOT SCARED. Next week, we’ll discuss how to make a plan to prepare for disaster. Some of you state you’re actually ready. If that is the case, email me a copy of your family plan, your business plan, or whatever your plan is. It will stay confidential. Most folks aren’t. They think they have a plan but it’s in their head, not written down. Here is a question I would have for you- HOW WELL DO YOU PERFORM UNDER EXTREME PRESSURE? This is why a short written plan is better than a plan in your head. My email address is mike@gcem.org

3- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Friday- Sunny and hot with a high near 98. Southwest winds around 5 mph.

Friday Night- Lows around 69 with east northeast winds around 10 mph.

HAVE A GREAT DAY AND STAY COOL AND HYDRATED.

MIKE
