FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-MONDAY-12/18/17

DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR A GOOD PART OF THE STATE UNTIL 11 AM. If you plan on traveling, leave early and slow down. A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

EXTREMELY COLD WEATHER WILL DEFINITELY AFFECT US LATER THIS WEEK. It’s important if there are things you need to do to stay warm, do those things this week prior to the arctic air moving in. Low temps will be in the teens and possibly lower so take the time to fix anything outdoors or inside before that cold air arrives.

This said, nothing is definite for next weekend other than the cold so stay tuned and we’ll see what develops. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Monday-Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 57. Light southwest wind becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the morning.

Monday Night-Mostly clear, with a low around 40. South wind around 9 mph.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!
