FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

Last week I stated we would have a storm siren test here in Enid today at noon. If we do not clear off by 11am, the test will be cancelled until next Monday. Temperatures will be in the 30’s on Tuesday and dropping throughout the week so next Monday may be the best time to do the test. Since most of our sirens are old, I don’t want to break belts and/or compressors for a test. I would risk that in an emergency but not a test. OK, enough here.
Fog is in the area this morning so be careful when venturing out to drive. If you are traveling, just understand that visibility may be lower in low lying areas and may change when you least expect it. Use caution when driving under these conditions.

Today, we will enjoy temps in the 60’s. Yes, I said 60’s. Enjoy while you can as temps will fall all week. A cold front will move into the area later tonight and start cooling things down so at least this time we will experience a gradual cool down.
Just be prepared this week for colder temps and we MIGHT see some snow later this week too. This is NOT set in stone yet so we’ll see if conditions come together for snow to occur.

Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Monday-30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10am. Widespread fog before 10am. Otherwise, cloudy through mid-morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 62. Southwest wind 6 to 9 mph.

Monday Night-Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. Light and variable wind becoming north 11 to 16 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!
MIKE
