ELEVATED TO NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED FOR OUR AREA TODAY.
TIMING: from 10am until 6pm. South winds 15-25 mph gusting to 35 or so are expected. Relative humidity 25-35% along with high temps 72-82 degrees. OUTDOOR burning and anything related to fire is EXTREMELY DISCOURAGED.
Our forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Monday-Sunny, with a high near 74. South wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 17 to 22 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.
Monday Night-Mostly clear, with a low around 54. South wind 17 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.
Finally, there is a chance for rain TUESDAY later in the afternoon and overnight. We’ll see how that works out.
