0400L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-4/6/19

1- We are in a MARGINAL RISK for severe weather today. IF storms occur, hail and winds will be the threats. This said if you plan on traveling south, large hail and damaging winds will be the threats so make sure you check forecasts near and at your destination locations. See graphics for threat levels today. I have included graphic from 3 NWS offices.

2- BE PREPARED with our notification app-GARFIELD COUNTY EM you just might need it this Spring.

3- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Saturday- Showers and thunderstorms likely mainly between 1pm and 4pm. Cloudy with a high near 69. South wind 10 to 15 mph gusting to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Saturday Night- 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 55. South wind 5 to 9 mph.

4- We’ll advise as needed calmly, if the weather get crazy.
