0400L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-2/6/21

1- 19 earthquakes yesterday from 1.31 to 4.1 yesterday east of Covington and WNW of Lucien. Just keep in mind that there are injections wells over there along with the fact that the Nemaha Faultline is in that area too. Hopefully, they will settle down.

2- Today’s weather will be cloudy, damp, windy, with maybe some rain early then the same this afternoon. High temps today and Sunday will be in the 40s. Starting Monday, a high of 37 will seem warm as Tuesday through Friday’s HIGH temps will be in the low to mid 20s and LOW temps will average around 10. Wind chill temps will be dangerously low, possibly around zero. I cannot state the importance that the cold coming in is arctic in nature and will hurt you if you don’t take the proper precautions. Children will be at HIGH risk for those that fail to put gloves and coats on them before going outside. DON’T FORGET YOUR PETS!

3-Here is your forecast for today from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Decreasing clouds. Rain likely in the morning, then a slight chance of rain early in the afternoon. Colder. Highs in the mid-40s. Light and variable winds becoming north 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Tonight-Partly cloudy. Colder. Lows around 20. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph shifting to the east after midnight.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
