GARFIELD COUNTY EM is our emergency notification app. You will need it someday. Download it now; learn how it works, and feel good that you ARE prepared.

1- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Saturday- Partly sunny with a high near 53. Southeast wind 6 to 11 mph.

Saturday Night-Areas of fog after 3am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. East wind around 6 mph becoming northwest after midnight.

2- COMMENT- Many folks have complained that we won’t have a winter this year. Well, it’s winter now. We just haven’t seen the winter extremes yet. We have had a taste of it a few times but haven’t seen that wrath yet. We may or may not but either way, if we are going to see this occur, it will happen in February or March. Personally, since we are not in control of the weather, just enjoy this better weather because it could always be worse.

One thing we can count on, every day is just a little different and the extreme weather can occur when we least expect it. This is why I say, keep and coat and umbrella handy. I have seen very warm days turn into brutal severe cold afternoons and nights. It can still happen. Stay prepared.

PREPAREDNESS=RESILIENCE

HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
