0300L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 5/31/25

SLIGHT RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER LATER THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING HOURS. MAIN RISKS- GOLFBALL SIZE HAIL AND 70 MPH WINDS. THE TORNADO RISK LOW. These storms will move south-southeast out of Kansas and move across the area. Keep an eye out later this afternoon to the north and we’ll see what happens. Spotters will be briefed this morning. If storms form discreetly in our area, the tornado threat “could” be higher. We’ll wait and see. No need for panic, just stay WEATHER AWARE later today!

Saturday- Sunny. A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the mid-80s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.

Saturday Night- Partly cloudy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the evening. Lows around 60. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
