0335L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-11/5/22

1- We survived the front, the storm system, and a few severe storms due to the possibility of large hail. The front definitely had colder air with it too. We will warm up under mostly clear skies with highs in the 60s and we should be a little warmer overnight tonight with lows in the 40s.

2- We received around an inch or so and I know amounts will vary around the area. Either way, we are still in an extreme drought so as we dry out over the next several days remember that the ground will soak up the moisture but the foliage is still dry or dead and will burn. Soft ground will hinder fire ops if needed so use extreme caution while utilizing anything related to fire.

3- OVERALL, we’re ok and it looks like we’ll remain ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Sunny. Highs in the lower 60s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph, increasing to south 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph this afternoon.

Tonight-Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 40s. South winds 10 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 30 mph in the evening.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
