0335L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-10/02/21

1-There is a chance for thunderstorms this morning as an upper trough moves through the area. We aren’t expecting severe conditions but keep in mind that the atmosphere doesn’t always cooperate. If we do in fact see thunderstorm activity, a few might be heavy giving us a potential for some flash flooding. Again, just be prepared. Overall, after this wave moves through today, we’ll see clearing skies and mild temps for the foreseeable future. Enjoy the autumn weather. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Saturday-Partly cloudy. Rain showers likely and a slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning, then a slight chance of rain in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 70s. Light and variable winds. Chance of precipitation 70 percent.

Saturday Night-Mostly clear. Lows in the mid-50s. Light and variable winds.

LOWE’S is having a Kids Safety Day on the west side of their property this morning from 10 until 12 noon. Grab the kids and grand-kids and bring them out to see, get into, and onto the firetrucks. Several of our Rural Fire Departments are bringing trucks into Enid for this event. Make sure the kids wear clothes that you won’t mind possibly getting dirty. We clean the trucks as much as possible but we overlook some things. 😊 Come see us!! I might do a live broadcast on my EM PAGE later this morning at this event.

STAY SAFE
