0420L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-10/5/19
1-MARGINAL RISK for severe weather today. If storms do occur, the severe threat would be for winds and hail. As stated so many times in the past, torrential rainfall could also be a threat so be careful in low-lying areas for the possibility for flooding if storms train over the same areas.
2- We are expecting a cold front this afternoon. Storms may be ongoing at that time so just stay weather aware. For Sunday, colder air will filter in as yet another front pushes in and this will carry another possibility for thunderstorms. Overall, we’ll be ok.
3- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Saturday-70% chance for showers and thunderstorms between 7am and 1pm. High near 80 with south winds 10-15 mph becoming northerly this afternoon.
Saturday Night-30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1am. Mostly cloudy with a low around 55. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
MIKE
