0320L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-8/8/21

1- There is a chance for storms off and on, throughout the day. That doesn’t mean they will occur all day but the potential is there. A trough is pushing slowly eastward and is in no hurry to move out. At the time of this typing, storms are working their way across the southern half of the county centered 5 miles south of Drummond. It’s moving east at 25 mph. This area could see winds to 50 and penny size hail.

2- Overall, we’ll be ok but some thunderstorms may be around off and on throughout the day. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Sunday-Partly cloudy with a slight chance of thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 90s. South winds 10 to 20 mph with higher gusts. Chance of thunderstorms 20 percent.

Sunday Night-Mostly clear. Lows in the mid-70s. South winds 10 to 15 mph with higher gusts.
