TODAY’S WEATHER OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT – 2/15/2026

Good morning,

Expect mostly sunny skies with highs around 64°. We’re not expecting any rain. Overnight, we’ll cool back into the low 40s with mostly clear skies.

Now looking ahead at the week — temperatures are going to warm up quickly. Monday and Tuesday will push into the mid-70s, and it’s going to turn breezy. As we get into the middle and latter part of the week, winds increase and humidity drops off. That combination of warm, dry, and windy conditions could lead to elevated to possibly critical fire weather concerns especially Tuesday through Thursday. Counties out to our west are already in a Fire Weather Watch until 8:00pm on 2/17/26.

PLEASE AVOID ANY OUTDOOR BURNING THIS WEEK, DUE TO ELEVATED/CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER.

Here is today’s forecast from the NWS/Norman

TODAY – Sunny, with a high near 64. North wind 6 to 13 mph becoming south southeast in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, with a low around 42. South wind 6 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Have a great Sunday!
