0305L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-5/29/22

1- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Sunday-Mostly sunny, with a high near 95. Windy, with a south wind 22 to 28 mph, with gusts as high as 41 mph.

Sunday Night-Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. Windy, with a south wind 24 to 28 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph.

2- A hot and windy day is forecast so be prepared for wind gusts around 40 mph.  Pay close attention while driving in crosswinds as wind gusts will be a hazard, so use extreme caution. It won’t take much to end up off the road.

3-Thunderstorms will become an issue starting late Monday evening basically through the rest of the week. We’ll be in a Marginal Risk on Monday and a Slight Risk on Tuesday for severe weather. The main risks look to be large hail and damaging winds. We’ll see what happens.

4- OVERALL, we’ll be ok.
