0400L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MGMT-4/16/2020

1-There is a MARGINAL RISK for severe weather this afternoon. Even though the risk is MARGINAL, if a storm occurs over us, strong winds and hail would be the main threats. The front should come through later this afternoon into the evening hours and rain could occur as early as late afternoon through the overnight hours. Don’t hold me to exact time as Mother Nature does her own thing.

2- Overall, we’ll be ok and we’ll continue the roller coaster of temperatures through the weekend. Winds will be gusty today also. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Partly cloudy. Highs around 70. South winds 15 to 25 mph.

Tonight-Mostly cloudy. Rain showers likely and a chance of thunderstorms in the evening, then a chance of rain after midnight. Lows in the mid-30s. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation 70 percent.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!
