FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

NOTICE:  114TH STREET ON THE SOUTH END OF FAIRMONT AT THE RAILROAD BRIDGE WILL BE CLOSED TODAY FOR REPAIRS.  WE’LL ADVISE WHEN IT RE-OPENS.

I had quite a few comments on my post from yesterday. Thank you to those that took the time to click the link and read yesterday’s blog post. Yes, it was long but most folks agreed with me. There were several who didn’t and here is something to think about, your feeling of entitlement shouldn’t affect your level of preparedness.

In the real world, it’s YOUR responsibility to take care of you and yours. Its government’s responsibility to bring back infrastructure that may be lost so quality of life can resume. Just make sure that you have done everything you possibly can to get by during those harder times and you will survive it.

In today’s world, “I DIDN’T KNOW THE STORM WAS COMING” doesn’t wash with me. With the drama on TV, THEN OUR “CALM” LOCAL SOURCES FROM RADIO, BLOGGERS, NEWSPAPER, AND OF COURSE ADVISORIES AND WARNINGS FROM THE NWS AND US, you should always at least have an idea that something is going to happen. We do everything in our power to get the word out. If you aren’t getting the word, YOU need to adjust. Enough here.

Weather-wise, the next several days look good so when the sun is shining, get outside for a little while and soak some sunshine in. Believe it or not, it’s good for you.

Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Thursday-Sunny, with a high near 44. Northwest wind 8 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Thursday Night-Clear, with a low around 23. West wind 5 to 7 mph.

HAVE A SUPER DAY!!

MIKE
