Another warm day in store! The fire weather is the main story. We are in an elevated to near critical fire danger today. Relative humidity as low as 10-15% and south winds 25-30mph this afternoon, with gusts up to 45mph. Those conditions will make it very difficult to contain any fire that takes off. PLEASE NO CONTROL BURNS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK.
TODAY’S FORECAST FROM THE NWS/NORMAN:
TODAY – Mostly cloudy and windy. Highs in the upper 70s. South winds 15 to 25 mph, increasing to 25 to 30 mph this afternoon. Gusts up to 45 mph.
TONIGHT– Mostly cloudy in the evening, then clearing. Breezy with lows in the lower 40s. Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph, becoming west 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph after midnight.
