0325L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-8/10/22
1- This will be short and sweet for Wednesday thanks to cooler and dryer air moving in. Warm days and cool nights are in store for the next 6 days or so. You can expect highs to average in the mid to upper 90s and overnight lows in the mid to upper 60s. This said, here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today-Sunny. Highs in the upper 90s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight- Clear. Lows in the mid-60s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.
2- The fire danger is minimal right now even though we are very dry. Anyone utilizing anything related to fire needs to be extremely careful as even green grass will burn. We are still in a severe drought so water if you can but don’t go broke doing so. Make sure outdoor animals have plenty of water too. We will be a little bit cooler but that’s no reason to overlook the animals.
Overall, we’ll be ok. Keep that eye out for any suspicious activity out there and call the appropriate agency if you see anything.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
