*HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON UNTIL 8 PM. Heat Index values up to 108 are possible. Stay hydrated and take breaks while working outdoors. We are also in a GENERAL thunderstorm risk area for later today. We’ll be in a Marginal Risk for Thursday.
*Today we’ll be a bit warmer than yesterday but at least the wind will be blowing. Stay in and stay cool.
* Overall, we’ll be ok but just be careful outdoors and take care of all outdoor animals. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Sunny, hot with highs around 101. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
Tonight- Mostly clear. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the mid-70s. South winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent. Heat index values up to 105 early in the evening.
