0350L-FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-WEDNESDAY- 11/29/17

DOWNLOAD OUR GARFIELD COUNTY EM APP. YOU WILL NEED IT THIS WINTER AND NEXT SPRING.

SURPRISE!! IT RAINED, a little. Hopefully we received enough to get the worst of the dirt out of the air. There is another opportunity for more rain late Monday into Tuesday. We’ll see how that works out.

Pass this around if you agree with me but there is a lot of fraudulent posts occurring on social media and all of you need to pay close attention to what’s true and what’s false. I get texts, emails, and calls from folks asking about snowfall totals, flooding issues, etc.  because they read something that wasn’t true. Don’t share bad info. It makes you look bad too.

Forecasts come from 3 or more models to ACCURATELY forecast weather. I use NWS Guidance when I put out information and those idiots out there panicking everyone apparently don’t. All I am saying is don’t let drama and attention driven posts cause you anxiety. Television is bad enough. If you want factual information on the weather, go to the NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE and STORM PREDICTION CENTER WEBSITES and actually read the discussions and outlooks. If you come across a site that you are not sure of, send me that info and I’ll investigate it and get back to you. My email is mike@gcem.org

Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Wednesday Night-Partly cloudy, with a low around 37. Calm wind becoming north northwest 5 to 7 mph after midnight.

HAVE A SUPER DAY!!

MIKE
