0330L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-10/5/22

1- We have a weak trough that will push through the area today with basically a windshift. This morning, spotty showers MIGHT occur around the area but shouldn’t amount to much if anything reaches the ground. This windshift should occur sometime during the morning hours.

2- Highs today and tomorrow should be in the low 80s and then during the overnight hours on Thursday a stronger front will push in cooling us off for the weekend. Guidance has highs in the upper 60s on Saturday and 70s on Sunday. We’ll see what happens.

3- The Fire Danger remains elevated so use EXTREME CAUTION when utilizing anything related to fire. We thank you in advance for that. Call 911 in the event you see smoke and fire.

4- Overall, we’ll be OK so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Partly sunny. Highs in the mid-80s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming west with gusts up to 20 mph this afternoon.

Tonight-Mostly cloudy in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the mid-50s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
