0330L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-6/17/22

1-The HEAT will continue. There are indications that rain could occur “around” mid-week but those chances are very low at this time per guidance. Keep in mind that we will get colder in about 4-6 months.

2- HERE IS YOUR FORECAST FROM THE NWS/NORMAN;

Friday-Sunny, hot with highs around 101. South winds 5 to 10 mph.

Friday Night-Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 70s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

3- Continue to take heat precautions and pay close attention to how you are feeling while working outside. Take breaks and drink plenty of water and electrolyte replacement type drinks. Once heat exhaustion happens to you, it will stay with you for possibly years. You have to use extreme caution while working in the heat. Some may say I am playing doctor here. Nope, it’s happened to me in the past.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!
