HEAT ADVISORY in effect from 1pm until 7pm. Use extreme caution and stay properly hydrated.

1- Per forecast guidance, the heat will remain for the foreseeable future.

2- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 90s. South winds 15 to 20 mph. Heat index values up to 107 this afternoon.

Tonight-Mostly clear. Humid with lows in the lower 70s. South winds 15 to 20 mph, diminishing to 5 to 10 mph after midnight. Heat index values up to 105 early in the evening.

3-INFORMATION: At various times lately, we seem to be responding to more heat related emergencies. I know most folks think they can regulate themselves pretty well. During harvest and while doing outdoor activities whether being at the lake or doing yardwork, folks need to pay very close attention to your body and what it’s telling you.
