0300L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 9/1/25
It’s September and we will continue to have a chance for thunderstorms later today into tonight. A weak front will make it’s way south through Kansas giving us that chance for additional rain. The atmosphere will be generally unstable, due to ample sunshine, so our chance for severe storms- winds and hail, are around 40%. We’ll see what happens.
Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:
Monday- Patchy fog possible this morning. Partly sunny this morning, then sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the mid-80s. Northeast winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.
Monday Night-Partly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then mostly clear after midnight. Lows in the lower 60s. North winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.
