0305L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 9/3/25
We are in a GENERAL RISK area for severe weather later today into the evening hours. A weak cold front will traverse the region bringing with it a 20% chance for additional showers and thunderstorms. The main risk is damaging winds. A stronger cold front will arrive sometime Friday bringing a lot cooler temps and rain chances. I will wait on those details until tomorrow but if you want high temps, over the weekend, to hover around 70, the Friday front is your ticket to the cooler temps. We’ll see what happens.
Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:
Wednesday- Sunny. Highs in the upper 80s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday Night- Mostly clear. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Lows around 60. South winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming northeast after midnight. Chance of rain 20 percent.
